Dr. Tim Bajkiewicz, Faculty Advisor

Dr. Tim Bajkiewicz is an Assistant Professor of Telecommunications in USF’s School of Mass Communications. He teaches lots of undergraduate classes, including Multimedia Journalism (with The Tampa Tribune, WFLA-TV News Channel 8, and TBO.com), Mass Communications and Society, Introduction to Telecommunications, and Electronic (TV) Field Production. He also teaches the capstone course in the School’s new graduate-level Multimedia Journalism track. His research interests include media convergence, media literacy, and science communication. He spent more than a decade working in broadcasting and audio production. In 1993 he received his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida, where he also received his 1995 master’s degree in Mass Communications. In 2002 he received his Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
